Trio Anima Mundi has become a significant and much-loved part of Melbourne’s chamber music life. Presenting concerts that bring an eclectic mix of repertoire from the great masters to little-known works, the Trio has a gained a reputation for excellence and a sumptuous sound world. Trio Anima Mundi’s 2012 subscription series titled’ A Russian Odyssey’ , explores the magnificent and often haunting music of the great countries of Russia and her satellite states. This rich music provides a bridge to other fascinating journeys into the worlds of story and allegory. A further highlight of the Trio’s concert series is the performance of the winning work from the Trio Anima Mundi’s annual competition prize which attracts international attention.
