Kids Under Cover is a Melbourne-based organization which focuses on preventing young people from becoming homeless and, where possible, keeping families together by raising funds to construct purpose-built house and demountable bungalows. Young people living in a Kids Under Cover home are offered the opportunity to pursue their educational and training goals via a scholarship scheme. This scheme provides financial and mentor support to help young people develop their skills and knowledge in their chosen field so they may become contributing members of the community.
The ultimate aim of Kids Under Cover is for young people to stay connected with family, school and community. Their underlying belief is that every young person has the right to a safe and secure home and a sound education.
