2022 TAM SUBSCRIPTION SERIES

PIANO TRIO ARCHAEOLOGY

Trio Anima Mundi continues its Piano Trio Archaeology in 2022 by exploring some forgotten gems of the piano trio repertory. Rare performances of trios by Miriam Hyde, Germaine Tailleferre, and Carl Gottlieb Reissiger (as part of TAM's ongoing The Reissiger Project) are interspersed by trios of Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, and the world premiere of Kenji Fujimura's second piano trio.

Concert 1

The Salieri Connection

~~~
Concert 1 presents the first published works of two composers whose careers were linked by a common figure - Antonio Salieri. Both Reissiger and Beethoven spent time under the tutelage of Salieri, a formidable figure in the Viennese music scene of  the time. We look at their earliest forays into the piano trio genre.
