Trio Anima Mundi is back in Melbourne for 2022! Featuring their famed Piano Trio Archaeology, they will showcase the beautiful sonorities of piano, violin, and cello combined in three Sunday afternoon concerts: 03 April, 31 July, 23 October NB different venues for Concert 1 and Concerts 2 and 3

About the event
Concert 1 (03 April) present the first publishhed works of two composers whose careers were linked by a common figure - Antonio Salieri. Both Reissiger and Beethoven spent time under the tutelage of Salieri, a formidable figure in the Viennese music scene of the time. We look at their earliest forays into the piano trio genre.
Ludwig van Beethoven: Piano Trio Op.1, No.3 in C minor
Carl Gottlieb Reissiger: Piano Trio No.1 in D minor, Op.25
Concert 2 (31 July) turns up the passion with the evocative and emotive early work of Sergei Rachmaninoff juxtaposed with the ebullient Romanticism of Reissiger's 2nd trio. The concert also includes a new work by TAM pianist Kenji Fujimura, the commission generously supported by the City of Melbourne.
