About the event

Concert 2 (31 July)  turns up the passion with the evocative and emotive early work of Sergei Rachmaninoff juxtaposed with the ebullient Romanticism of Reissiger's 2nd trio. The concert also includes a new work by TAM pianist Kenji Fujimura, the commission generously supported by the City of Melbourne.

Sergei Rachmaninoff: Trio elegiaque No.1 in G minor

Kenji Fujimura: Piano Trio No.2 (world premiere)

Carl Gottlieb Reissiger: Piano Trio No.2 in B-flat Major, Op.33

Concert 3 (23 October) delves deeply into the Romantic sound world of three women. TAM revisits Australian Miriam Hyde's Fantasy Trio which featured on their international award-winning debut CD. They also present the melodious Trio of Les Six member Germaine Tailleferre, and the mighty trio of Clara Schumann.
